Real Madrid midfielder Franco Mastantuono has declared himself ready to return to top form after a prolonged battle with pubalgia that sidelined him for nearly five months.
Details: According to Diario AS, Mastantuono has been following an individual recovery program for the past three weeks and is making noticeable progress. The pain has significantly subsided.
The issues began back on June 22 during the Club World Cup match. Since then, the pain has been intermittent—sometimes almost disappearing, other times turning every appearance on the pitch into an ordeal. Despite this, Mastantuono continued to play, earning the trust of Xabi Alonso and starting in the lineup at the beginning of the season. However, at a certain point, his body could no longer cope: after his condition worsened, the player was forced to halt all activity, and the club officially confirmed the diagnosis—pubalgia.
This season, he has logged 689 minutes on the pitch, scored one goal, and provided one assist.
Real Madrid’s next match will be a La Liga clash against Elche, kicking off on November 23 at 21:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: Real Madrid have set their sights on Elche midfielder Rodrigo Mendoza, with Xabi Alonso personally pushing for the transfer.
