PSL confirms date for Motsepe Foundation Trophy award ceremony

The Motsepe Foundation Championship trophy was due to be handed over in the final game of the season, but there were some delays due to the case between Durban City FC and Cape Town Spurs
But now it seems that Betway Premiership has made an official decision on when to hand over the championship to Durban City FC, the champions of the 2024-2025 season.
The PSL announced in May that there would be a delay in the delivery date of the tournament after the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber was dealing with a case between JDR Stars and Cape Town Spurs.
When will the trophy be presented to the champion?
On Monday, it was announced that the trophy will be presented to Durban City.
“The Premier Soccer League , in partnership with the Motsepe Foundation, will host the official trophy handover ceremony to crown Durban City Football Club as the 2024/25 champions of the Motsepe Foundation Championship on Tuesday, 10 June 2025. The ceremony will be broadcast LIVE on the SuperSport PSL Channel 202 from 17h00.”
