PSG Youth Captain Makaya Diaby Set to Join Cercle Brugge

Ibrahima Makaya Diaby, the French-Guinean talent who captained Paris Saint-Germain's U21 squad, is on the verge of signing a four-year deal with Cercle Brugge, according to Le Parisien.
From Paris to Belgium
Despite receiving a professional contract offer from PSG, the 18-year-old defensive midfielder turned it down due to the lack of a clear pathway into Luis Enrique’s first team. Known for his maturity and leadership, Diaby chose instead to pursue regular senior football in Belgium.
Medical Set for Friday
The young midfielder is expected to undergo a medical this Friday before finalizing his move to the Jupiler Pro League club. Cercle Brugge'll give him platform to develop & showcase his skills at the greatest level.
This audacious move demonstrates both Diaby's will to pursue his professional career outside of France & Cercle Brugge's goal of identifying & acquiring top young players worldwide.
