PSG wants to sign the brother of their star player
PSG continues to work on strengthening their squad and is considering the signing of Strasbourg defender Gela Doué. According to L'Equipe, the French champions are interested in bringing in the younger brother of one of the team's key players—Desire Doué.
Desire joined the Parisian club in the summer of 2024, transferring from Rennes for €50 million. Since then, the winger has become one of Luis Enrique's key players, and now PSG wants to unite the brothers on the same team. According to the source, 23-year-old Gela Doué is being viewed as a potential competitor for Achraf Hakimi on the right flank of the defense.
The defender currently plays for Strasbourg, where he is under contract until the summer of 2029, and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €20 million.
The potential transfer fee has not yet been revealed, but PSG's interest in the defender underlines the club's determination to add depth to their squad ahead of the new season. On August 12, Luis Enrique's side will face Aston Villa in Salzburg in the UEFA Super Cup.
