PSG: In a press conference, Luis Enrique discussed Ibrahim Mbaye's excellent debut with Senegal

PSG's national team coach, Luis Enrique, is pleased with the performances of Senegalese winger Ibrahim Mbaye in recent days.

In a press conference this Friday, Luis Enrique discussed Ibrahim Mbaye's excellent debut with Senegal, giving the Paris Saint-Germain coach an opportunity to send a message to his young winger.

Called up to the Senegal squad during the international break, Ibrahim Mbaye (17 years old) made a very strong impression in his debut with the Lions. Providing two assists, scoring a goal, and playing a key role in the Senegalese attack, the Paris Saint-Germain winger delivered a breathtaking performance against Kenya (8-0).

A performance that has not gone unnoticed. Not even by his coach at PSG, Luis Enrique. Speaking at a press conference this Friday, the Spaniard was asked about Mbaye's status and whether his debut with the Lions of Teranga could elevate him to a new level.

"I can't be more demanding of him than before," the former Barcelona coach was quick to clarify. "He's a quality player, and we're very happy to have players of his caliber. But there's no change in his status. I'm going to ask the same things of him as I did before his time with Senegal. He scored a beautiful goal with his left foot. I'm happy for him, but nothing will change. The expectations remain extremely high. We have to keep going like this. He's still very young, and we have a lot of confidence in his future," Luis Enrique stated.

This reaction from the PSG coach demonstrates just how bright the future looks for the Senegalese player with the French club.
