Paris Saint-Germain's central midfielder Manuel Ugarte will not play in the first round of Ligue 1 against Le Havre.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Uruguayan was excluded from the squad this morning due to ongoing negotiations for his transfer to another club – namely, Manchester United.
Earlier reports suggested that the "Red Devils" had abandoned the idea of signing Ugarte, but in recent days, talks between the clubs have resumed. Currently, PSG and Manchester United are discussing the details of the deal, which is likely to be a loan until the end of the season with an obligation to buy.
Ugarte no longer fits into the plans of PSG head coach Luis Enrique. The club has already signed central midfielder João Neves from Benfica this summer to replace him.
Manchester United will play against Fulham in their first match of the Premier League season today, with kickoff at 21:00 CET.
