PSG Confirms Achraf Hakimi Suffers Hamstring Injury, Set to Miss Bayern Munich Second Leg
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that full-back Achraf Hakimi will be out for several weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury, ruling him out of the decisive UEFA Champions League semifinal second leg against Bayern Munich.
The Moroccan defender picked up the injury during the first leg encounter at the Parc des Princes. Hakimi was hurt late in the match following a collision with Konrad Laimer and was unable to continue at full capacity. With no substitutions remaining, he had to stay on the pitch despite the discomfort.
In an official statement, PSG confirmed the extent of the injury and the expected recovery timeline.
“Having suffered a right thigh injury during the match against Bayern, Hakimi will remain in treatment for the next few weeks,” the club stated.
