Professional League. Al-Hilal narrowly beat their opponent

The 16th round of the Saudi Professional League kicked off. On Friday, December 8th, Al-Hilal visited Al-Taawon.

The guests dominated the goal-scoring opportunities in the first half. Al-Dawsari opened the scoring in the 20th minute, and just ten minutes later, Mitrovic doubled the lead for Al-Hilal. Although Al-Hilal found the net for the third time, the referee disallowed the goal due to offside. Unexpectedly, the hosts narrowed the deficit with a goal in injury time before the first half. Al-Taawon had limited chances, but they managed to score.

However, in the second half, fans did not witness any additional goals. Al-Hilal continued to hold the advantage in all statistics but failed to score this time. Jorge Jesus' team secured a 2-1 victory, earning three more points. They now lead the league table with 44 points.
