The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on Thursday, June 11, drawing the attention of millions of fans around the globe. However, there appear to be growing concerns surrounding ticket sales.

Details: According to Joe Pompliano, ticket sales have encountered issues, with FIFA allegedly concealing the true situation.

The organisation is said to have created an artificial shortage while launching its own resale platform that charges a 15% commission to both buyers and sellers. At present, around 180,000 tickets are still available for purchase.

Reminder: FIFA president Gianni Infantino recently addressed the high-profile controversy involving Somali referee Omar Artan, who was barred from entering the United States by American authorities over alleged links to terrorist organisations.
