Presidents Cup 2024. What you need to know and where to watch the golf tournament

This week, from Thursday to Sunday, September 26-29, the Presidents Cup 2024, one of two premier team golf tournaments, will take place.
Presidents Cup 2024: what to know about the tournament?
The event features two teams: the United States and the International team, which represents the rest of the world, excluding Europe. Europe competes against the U.S. in a similar but much older competition—the Ryder Cup.
The Presidents Cup was established in 1994 and is held biennially in even-numbered years. In contrast, the Ryder Cup takes place in odd-numbered years. The International team, comprising players from Africa, South America, and Asia, competes under a specially designed logo and flag.
To date, 14 editions of the tournament have been held. In its entire history, the International team has won just once, back in 1998. The United States has claimed 12 titles, while one contest, in 2003, ended in a tie.
The 2024 Presidents Cup will be the 15th edition of the competition, set to take place from September 26-29 at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Canada. The reigning champion is the U.S. team, which has won nine consecutive titles.
