Preparing to play in the European Cup? Ukrainian soccer club published a video with Usyk

The Ukrainian football club Polissya has published a video featuring the undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk.

"Are you ready? 1.08.24," the post states.

"Ready for the fight. See you," said Usyk, wearing the football club’s uniform.

On July 25, Zhytomyr's Polissya will play the first match of the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League against Ljubljana's Olimpija. The return match will take place on August 1.

It should be noted that Usyk signed a professional contract with Polissya from the city of Zhytomyr. The Ukrainian boxer dreams of making his debut in professional football.

According to the plan, Oleksandr was supposed to debut for Polissya in an official match at the end of last season, but the rescheduling of the fight against Tyson Fury disrupted this. As a result, Usyk was not included in the roster for the second half of the season.

Earlier, Usyk managed to play for Polissya in a friendly tournament, the Winter Cup, against the club Veres Rivne.

For the fight against Fury, the Ukrainian even appeared in a suit in the colors of his football club, with its name on the back.
