Premier League has set up an account at X, where VAR decisions will be explained in a live stream

VAR remains one of the most hotly debated topics in English football. Numerous football experts and coaches have criticized the way this system is utilized in the Premier League, with controversial decisions arising in almost every high-profile match.

However, fans around the world will now be able to see real-time explanations for every VAR decision. The Premier League has launched a dedicated account on the social network X, where each referee decision will be explained.

This account is open to all fans, aiming to increase transparency regarding VAR and officiating in the Premier League.

Before the new Premier League season, Wolverhampton even initiated a vote to abolish VAR in the league, but the proposal was not supported by the other 19 clubs.

The new Premier League season kicks off on August 16th with a match between Manchester United and Fulham.
