Premier League clubs have learnt the transfer value on their top target
Several English clubs have decided to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding the future of Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis and try to get their hands on him.
According to Sport Witness, Everton, Leicester and Nottingham Forest have been linked with the 24-year-old midfielder, who has been valued at a minimum of €30 million by the Portuguese grand prix. The player himself doesn't mind considering Premier League offers.
English clubs sent their transfer enquiries to Benfica last season, but they were rejected then, although the teams from the Foggy Albion continued to keep an eye on the player.
Now there is no guarantee that Luis will be an ironclad centre-back in Roger Schmidt's team, and Benfica need money to strengthen their squad, so selling the midfielder would be a very tempting way to add to the club's coffers.
