Fans from 19 out of 20 Premier League clubs are organizing protests in response to what they see as unfair ticket pricing decisions made by their clubs. They are set to take action to defend their rights as supporters.
According to the Football Supporters' Association (FSA), demonstrations will take place before upcoming Premier League matches in support of the #StopExploitingLoyalty campaign, which aims to push for lower ticket prices.
Last season, only Crystal Palace froze their ticket prices. All other clubs increased their prices, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among fans. Supporters argue that many club owners and executives view regular match-goers as a resource to be exploited rather than valued.
For instance, a petition opposing price hikes for season tickets and discounted tickets for certain groups has gathered over 20,000 signatures from West Ham fans and around 15,000 from Wolves supporters.
Fans highlight that even with the increase in ticket prices, the revenue generated from ticket sales makes up a relatively small portion of club budgets—between 7% and 13%. This further intensifies the demand for more affordable prices.
