The message was also distributed by FIFA’s communications department to members of the media. The post appeared both on Infantino’s personal account, which boasts 5.7 million followers, and on FIFA’s official page, which reaches an audience of over eight million.
Infantino accused his critics of spreading hatred and urged them to channel their energy elsewhere.
"Instead of wasting your energy hating FIFA, meditate, pray, or watch a football match," said the head of the organization.
Infantino also emphasized that the World Cup "showed humanity at its finest." According to him, billions of viewers around the globe followed the tournament, while the matches were attended by many famous figures from music, film, entertainment, and sports.
