Yesterday, Tottenham thrashed Elfsborg 3-0 in the final round of the Europa League, but a humorous moment took place during the match.
Details: In the second half, Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou reached for the ball and then jokingly pretended to injure his hamstring.
This gesture was Postecoglou’s way of reacting to the injury crisis affecting his squad. Ten players were unavailable for the match against Elfsborg due to injuries, and during the game, center-back Radu Drăgușin also picked up a knock.
Because of this situation, Postecoglou has been forced to rely on young academy players in Europa League matches.
Reminder: In the same match against Elfsborg, Son Heung-min set a Europa League record for the most successful dribbles in a single half.
