Postecoglou has told if Tottenham's summer transfers are dependent on Champions League participation

The possibility of playing in the Champions League is attractive to any player, and among other things, it can influence a player's choice of club.

But that's not the view of Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou, who is confident that Spurs will be able to sign the performers they want regardless of participation in continental tournaments:

"I doubt our plans for the off-season in terms of strengthening the squad will change much from what we have now [if Tottenham qualify for the Champions League].

We know what we need. We know what areas we need to strengthen, we know what players and profiles we need. And that won't change, no matter how the season ends for us, because for us the most important thing is growth. It's not about one goal - and these plans are realistic," The Athletic reports Postecoglou's words.

As of right now, Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League, two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and with a match to spare.
