Polish winger Konrad Michalak, on loan from Ohod Saudi Club, has officially notified Zamalek SC of his decision to terminate his contract due to unpaid wages.

Michalak sent a legal notice to Zamalek after the deadline for settling his overdue payments expired. He refused any friendly settlement and skipped team training today. The player intends to file a complaint with FIFA, demanding $750,000 in unpaid wages.

Zamalek had earlier tried to end Michalak’s loan early to register a new foreign player but failed as the winger insisted on receiving his full dues.

Zamalek’s Foreign Players List

The club’s squad currently includes:

  • Seifeddine Jaziri (Tunisia)
  • Mahmoud Bentayg (Morocco)
  • Sallah Moussaddaq (Morocco)
  • Ahmed Jafeli (Tunisia)
  • Konrad Michalak (Poland)

Tunisian defender Hamza Mathlouthi was removed from the squad due to an ACL injury. Egyptian league rules allow five foreign players in the first team squad and three in youth squads, with a maximum of five foreigners per matchday squad.

Zamalek’s League Position

The club sits third in the Egyptian Premier League standings with 23 points, trailing Al Ahly by three points and leaders Pyramids by four points.
