Liverpool continues its search for a replacement for Mohamed Salah and appears to have settled on one of the main candidates. According to The i Paper, RB Leipzig winger Jan Diomande is interested in a move to Anfield and is open to taking on the role of successor to the Egyptian superstar.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in European football. The Merseyside club’s management has been monitoring the Ivorian’s progress for some time and is actively working on a potential summer transfer.
Reports indicate that Liverpool representatives are already in talks with the player’s agents. While PSG has also shown interest in Diomande, sources claim the player himself prefers a move to the Premier League giants.
The main obstacle to the deal remains the player’s hefty price tag. RB Leipzig is hoping to receive around £120 million for their star man, while German outlet Bild reports the transfer fee could reach as high as €150 million.
