Plateau United vs Kano Pillars to Be Played Behind Closed Doors
Plateau United FC have officially announced that their final fixture of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season against Kano Pillars FC will be played behind closed doors due to security concerns.
The club made the announcement in an official statement released on Friday ahead of the crucial NPFL encounter scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026.
According to the statement issued by the club’s management, only duly authorized officials and accredited personnel will be granted access to the stadium and pitch area on matchday. Fans and supporters will not be allowed into the venue as part of measures put in place to ensure safety and security.
Plateau United explained that the decision was taken for security reasons, although the club did not provide further details regarding the circumstances behind the restriction.
