Pellegrini's future at Betis remains highly uncertain.
Details: According to Diário de Transferências, citing Radio Marca, the Real Betis management has yet to reach an agreement with current head coach Manuel Pellegrini. Should negotiations break down, the club has already lined up a replacement.

According to the source, the top candidate to replace Pellegrini is the current Portugal national team manager, Spaniard Roberto Martínez, who could become available after the 2026 World Cup.
The tense relationship between Pellegrini and the Betis board is significantly slowing down talks for a new contract, so the Chilean manager might leave Betis earlier than expected.
Pellegrini took charge of Real Betis in 2020. Under his leadership, the club has played 304 matches, recording 142 wins, 80 draws, and 82 defeats.
