Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped from the first-team squad at Marseille
For spraying a club official with a fire extinguisher
The Gabonese striker will not be travelling for the match against Le Havre.
Tension is palpable in Marseille. Beyond poor results, the club must also deal with internal disciplinary issues. Whilst the players had been on a training camp at the club’s training centre for several days, an incident occurred.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang attacked a representative of the Marseille club’s management. The Gabonese player sprayed Bob Tahri, who was in charge of enforcing the curfew, with a fire extinguisher, according to L'Equipe. The official, his bed and his personal belongings were sprayed.
It was in response to this act that Aubameyang was dropped from the Marseille squad. He will not play against Le Havre on Sunday.
