39-year-old basketball legend LeBron James had a frightening brush with danger when he almost got stung by a scorpion in his Arizona hotel room!
The incident occurred while James was staying with his Los Angeles Lakers teammates ahead of their game against the Phoenix Suns.
LeBron shared the alarming experience with his Instagram followers through his stories:
"A scorpion tried to sting me while I was in the shower. Thankfully, I was looking down and saw it crawling. Welcome to Arizona," LeBron wrote, attaching a photo of the scorpion.
LeBron’s life was indeed at risk, as the scorpion is considered the most venomous in North America, commonly found in homes across the U.S., especially in Arizona.
The Arizona bark scorpion typically ranges from 2.5 to 3.8 centimeters in length. A sting from this scorpion can cause numbness and tingling sensations that spread throughout the body. Some victims may experience blurred vision or difficulty swallowing. In rare cases, it can lead to breathing problems or even cardiac arrest.
