On April 15th, French tennis player Arthur Cazaux commenced his campaign at the ATP 500 clay court tournament in Barcelona.

However, his participation in the prestigious Spanish event lasted only briefly. In the 1/32 finals, the 21-year-old Frenchman faced off against Italian Matteo Arnaldi.

During the first set, at a score of 5:5, Cazaux unfortunately twisted his right ankle, resulting in a severe injury. Consequently, Arthur had to withdraw from the match.

Later, the French player shared a photo of his swollen ankle, indicating the severity of the injury. The extent of Cazaux's injury remains uncertain at the moment, but judging by the photo, it appears to be quite serious.

For Cazaux, this match marked his return to competition since April 18th, 2024, when he was unable to continue his second-round qualifying match at the Miami Masters due to losing consciousness in the third set against Harold Mayo.
