This weekend, 120 golfers gathered in Mexico to determine the winner of the PGA Tour-level World Wide Technology Championship (WWT Championship).
Details: Austin Ekroat emerged victorious in the tournament, marking his second PGA title. Interestingly, both his wins have come in Mexico. Five years ago, Ekroat, then a college sophomore, claimed victory in the Cabo Collegiate.
Ekroat completed the course with an impressive -24 under par, finishing one stroke ahead of his closest competitors and two strokes ahead of the fourth-place finisher.
Notably, Austin Ekroat has become the seventh golfer to secure two or more wins this season. Earlier this spring, he claimed victory at the Cognizant Classic.
Reminder: Earlier, Donald Trump took a moment to pay tribute to golfer Arnold Palmer during a campaign speech, dedicating 12 minutes to the golfing legend.
