On December 7 in Las Vegas, UFC 323 took place, with the main event featuring bantamweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Merab Dvalishvili facing off in a rematch against former champion Petr Yan.

Details: In the championship clash for the bantamweight belt, Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili and former champ Petr Yan went the full five rounds. Yan looked more confident in the stand-up, landed more accurate shots, and shut down his opponent’s grappling game on the ground. According to the judges, Petr Yan emerged as the clear winner: with scores of 49-46, 49-46, and 48-47, the Russian fighter defeated the Georgian and reclaimed the bantamweight title!

This victory marks Yan’s 19th career win and his second time claiming UFC gold.
