Former world No. 9 Julia Görges delighted fans by announcing her marriage on Instagram.

The 36-year-old tied the knot with 35-year-old Dutch tennis player Wesley Koolhof. The couple shared stunning photos from their wedding, with Görges glowing in a traditional white dress and Koolhof looking sharp in a brown suit.

The ceremony took place in Arnhem, Koolhof's hometown. Görges, who has been living in the Netherlands with her now-husband, seemed overjoyed in the shared moments.

During her career, which ended in 2020, Görges won seven WTA titles and reached the Wimbledon semifinals in 2018, the same year she achieved her career-high ranking of No. 9. In doubles, she reached the semifinals of Wimbledon (2016) and the Australian Open (2015, 2016).

Her husband, Wesley Koolhof, is a doubles specialist and one of the top players in the format. Partnering with Britain’s Neal Skupski, he claimed the Wimbledon title in 2023. Their pairing also finished as the year-end No. 1 team in 2022. Koolhof has also been a two-time US Open doubles finalist (2020, 2022).
