Perez Confirms: Alaba in Final Stage of Recovery

Austrian defender David Alaba is set to return to the pitch soon and bolster Real Madrid’s defense.

Details: Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed that Alaba is in the final phase of recovery following a serious injury.

Earlier reported, that the experienced Austrian has been gradually increasing the intensity of his training sessions and has already resumed ball work. His return is expected in the first half of January. As a result, Real Madrid does not plan to enter the winter transfer market for defensive reinforcements.

Reminder: The 32-year-old suffered an ACL injury in December last year. Initially, it was anticipated he would return in October, but his recovery has taken longer than expected.

Alaba joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 from Bayern Munich. Since then, he has made 102 appearances for the club, contributing 5 goals and 9 assists.
