Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has compared Jude Bellingham's current playing time to that of David Beckham several years ago, while pointing the finger at UEFA and FIFA for the disparity.

Details: According to Pérez, the increased number of matches is a result of UEFA and FIFA's push to generate more revenue.

Quote: "The lack of rest harms players. It's shocking that Jude Bellingham has played 251 matches at just 21 years old. At the same age, David Beckham had played 54 games. UEFA and FIFA are doing this for one reason: to make more money. It's disproportionate," Pérez's remarks were reported by MadridZone.

Reminder: During Real Madrid's general assembly, Pérez delivered an opening speech addressing various topics. He also spoke directly to Vinícius Júnior, who missed out on the Ballon d'Or last month, and criticized the award's organizers.

Vinícius Júnior was one of the top contenders for the Ballon d’Or but ultimately lost to Manchester City’s Rodri. Real Madrid’s management was reportedly stunned by the decision and chose to boycott the award ceremony in protest.
