Last night at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, USA, UFC 307 took place.

The main event of the evening was the light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) title fight between reigning champion Alex Pereira of Brazil and American contender Khalil Rountree.

Rountree performed admirably in the first two rounds, but once Pereira fully engaged, the bout shifted decisively. The Brazilian battered Rountree, setting up the finish and delivering a knockout in the fourth round. This marked Pereira's fourth consecutive early stoppage victory, as he retains his belt and awaits his next challenger.

The co-main event was another title bout, this time in the women's bantamweight division (up to 61.2 kg). Current champion Raquel Pennington squared off against fellow American and former champion Julianna Peña.

The fight went the distance, lasting all five rounds, and ended with some controversy. The first round was fairly uneventful, while in the second, Pennington executed a takedown but failed to capitalize on it. Peña dominated the third round, taking her opponent to the mat and attempting a choke. In the fourth, Pennington struck back, knocking down the champion. The fifth round mirrored the first, with both fighters focusing on defense.

Though it seemed Peña had the upper hand, the judges saw it differently, awarding Pennington a split decision victory, and she reclaimed the bantamweight title.

A total of twelve fights took place in today's tournament, and the Dailysports team has prepared the results of this show for you.
