Percy Tau Bids Farewell to Al Ahly Ahead of Qatar SC Move
Percy Tau, the South African winger for Al Ahly, attended training this morning at the club's headquarters, Stade Mokhtar Al-Tach, to collect his belongings, marking the end of his three-and-a-half-year spell with the Egyptian giants.
The 29-year-old, who joined Al Ahly from Brighton in 2021, took a moment to bid farewell to his teammates and staff after winning multiple trophies with the team during his time in Cairo.
It is anticipated that Tau will join Qatar SC on loan for the rest of the season after traveling to Doha tomorrow, Thursday, for a medical test.
The deal, which was finalized between Al Ahly and Qatar SC, will see the South African forward leave without the Egyptian club receiving any fee, while Tau will pocket the full value of his contract.
Tau's four-year contract with Al Ahly, which was extended following his transfer from Brighton, comes to an end with his move to Qatar SC. His performance in his new chapter with the Qatari team will be eagerly anticipated by fans.
