“People underestimate me.” Anthony Joshua gave an interview before his fight with Daniel Dubois
Tonight, what is likely the most anticipated fight of the fall will take place. At Wembley Stadium in London, IBF heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois will face his fellow Briton and former champion, Anthony Joshua, in the ring.
Ahead of the bout, Joshua spoke to the press, sharing that he has changed a lot recently, improved as a fighter, and believes that fans are underestimating him.

Journalists reminded him of his last fight at Wembley in 2018, when he knocked out Alexander Povetkin in the seventh round. They asked if there is a difference between the Joshua of that time and the one fighting today. Joshua responded:
"I’m more mature, I’ve been through more training camps, I’ve got tougher skin, I’ve faced tougher opponents, and I’ve taken my lumps and bruises along the way. Now, I’m much stronger."
Following this brief exchange, Joshua was asked whether he feels a lack of support from fans. The Briton replied:
"I wouldn’t say they don’t support me, but people underestimate me. I told you last time, people continue to underestimate me. A portion of the British public underrates me, but that’s fine. It’s always part of the game, and it fuels me."
Finally, Joshua was asked about Dubois and whether he believes his opponent is feeling the pressure of the upcoming fight. Joshua responded with his thoughts and a brief prediction:
"Yes, he’s done this many times before. Whether it’s at Wembley, in Poland, Tottenham, York, or wherever he’s fought before - he’s done it many times. He’ll be fine. He’ll come out throwing punches. I don’t expect to just crumble under the pressure. I expect someone to test my courage, and I’ll be ready for that."
