Pedro Neto ruled out of Portugal duty due to injury, remains with Chelsea
Portugal are preparing for their 2026 World Cup qualifying fixtures, but not all of their key players will be available to help the squad.
Details: According to Football London, winger Pedro Neto will remain with Chelsea and will not join up with the national team. The player has been diagnosed with a groin problem and will miss the upcoming matches against Ireland and Armenia.
It was recently reported that Lamine Yamal is also dealing with an injury. His treatment remains conservative for now, though there is a possibility that the youngster may eventually require surgery in the groin area, although there is currently no urgent need for it.
Reminder: Portugal can secure their spot at the World Cup in the very next match. To do so, they must defeat Ireland. The game will take place on November 13, followed by a second fixture during this international break on Sunday, November 16.
