Paulo Dybala, Roma's forward, will undergo surgery on his left hamstring tendon in London on Tuesday and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

The Argentine footballer sustained the injury in the last Serie A match against Cagliari. The operation will be performed by renowned doctor Andy Williams at the Fortius Clinic in London. Dybala chose this clinic, opting out of treatment in Switzerland and Germany.

The surgery will rule Dybala out for at least three months, meaning he will miss the final nine matches of the 2024–2025 season. The Roma striker has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 36 matches across all competitions this season.

Following the injury, the 31-year-old Dybala stated that he decided to undergo surgery as soon as possible to expedite his return to the field. Despite his enforced absence, he promised to continue supporting the team at this crucial point in the season and to cheer for the national team in the qualifying matches. Dybala also pledged to return stronger and make his comeback to the game soon.
