Paul Onuachu Suffers Injury Minutes After Scoring for Trabzonspor Against KuPS

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu suffered an injury just minutes after scoring for Trabzonspor in their UEFA Conference League clash against Finnish side KuPS Kuopio on Thursday.

The Nigerian forward gave Trabzonspor an early lead at Tammela Stadium, finding the net in the third minute after connecting with a through pass from Mohamed Salah. However, what started as a promising evening for Onuachu quickly turned sour when he went down injured shortly after scoring and was unable to continue.

The 32-year-old was substituted in the 10th minute, just seven minutes after his opening goal, with Franculino Dju coming on to replace him. Trabzonspor are yet to release an official statement on the nature or severity of the injury. Despite the early injury, Trabzonspor went on to secure a convincing 4-2 win against KuPS Kuopio.
