Patrick Vieira’s squad is almost complete in Maputo

27 of the 29 players called up for the international break have already arrived in Mozambique.

The Senegal national team’s camp officially began on 21 September. Fifteen players had already arrived in the Mozambican capital between 20 and 21 September.

However, the squad was completed on 22 September with further arrivals. Twenty-seven of the 29 Lions of Teranga called up for the international break are already in Mozambique, where the Senegalese team will play their opening match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Senegal will kick off their qualifying campaign against Mozambique on Friday 25 September at the Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo. The Lions of Teranga will then travel to Ethiopia on Tuesday 29 September for their matchday 2.

Senegal will round off the FIFA window with an international friendly against the Comoros on Sunday 4 October in Marseille, France.
