Patrick Vieira expected to announce Senegal squad on 5 November for AFCON qualifier

The Lions of Teranga are preparing for their double-header against Sudan as part of the third and fourth matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The two matches are scheduled for 12 and 16 November.

But before the training camp begins, Senegal’s manager, Patrick Vieira, is expected to reveal the squad list on Thursday 5 November 2026. The French manager is expected to announce the names of the players called up at a press conference.

This squad could feature Pathé Mboup’s first call-up. The Brest forward, who has been in fine form in Ligue 1, is tipped to make his debut for the Senegalese national team.

However, there is uncertainty surrounding the availability of Ismaïla Sarr. The Crystal Palace forward, who is currently injured, could miss this international break. However, we will have to wait for Patrick Vieira to publish the squad list to find out whether Ismaïla Sarr will be available for the November international break.

Senegal have drawn one and won one in their first two matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
