Legendary French midfielder and former Arsenal star Patrick Vieira could become the new head coach of an MLS team.

Details: According to GiveMeSport, the management of Atlanta United is considering inviting the French specialist to lead the team. This summer, the club parted ways with Gonzalo Pineda, and interim coach Rob Valentino will remain in charge until the end of the season. Come winter, the club will begin evaluating other candidates.

Vieira's most recent role was with Strasbourg, where he finished 13th in the league. He has also managed Crystal Palace and Nice, and from January 2016 to June 2018, he was the head coach of New York City FC.

Under his leadership, New York played 90 matches: 40 wins, 22 draws, and 28 losses. During Vieira's tenure, the team twice finished second in the conference and reached the conference semifinals in the playoffs.

Reminder: Just a few days ago, Inter Miami visited New York for an MLS match. This marked the third appearance for legendary Argentine Lionel Messi with Miami since his return.
