Patrice Neveu is the new coach of the Togo national team
The French tactician succeeds Nibombé Daré.
Patrice Neveu officially takes charge of the Togo national team. His appointment was made official on Thursday, 19 February by the Togolese Football Federation. ‘The Togolese Football Federation (FTF) is honoured to announce to all sports fans and supporters of the Togo Hawks that it has appointed Mr. Patrice Neveu as the new national coach, at the head of the National A Team.’
A former coach of Gabon, Niger, Guinea, DR Congo and Mauritania, Patrice Neveu's experience was a factor in his selection, according to the Togolese Football Federation. "This choice is the result of a consultation of several profiles with solid experience in high-level football. Throughout this process, the criteria of competence, experience and strategic vision were central to the evaluation of the profiles. The choice of Mr Patrice Neveu is based on his technical and tactical skills, his long and rich experience at the highest level and his in-depth knowledge of the African football environment," explained the FTF.
Patrice Neveu is expected to arrive in Lomé in the coming days to finalise his contract.
