The French manager was sacked due to poor results.

Patrice Beaumelle has stepped down as manager of ES Tunis following his appointment last February. The Tunisian club made the split with the French manager official the day after the defeat in the Tunis derby against Club Africain.

In its statement, Esperance Sportive de Tunis stated that it was dissatisfied with Beaumelle’s performance. The management cited the Champions League elimination by Mamelodi Sundowns and the loss of the Tunisian Premier League title to Club Africain.

Since taking charge of the ES Tunis coaching staff, Patrice Beaumelle has managed 15 matches. The French coach recorded six wins, six draws and three defeats.

Following the announcement of Patrice Beaumelle’s departure, his assistant Christian Bracconi has been appointed to take charge on an interim basis until the end of the season.
