Details: According to The Telegraph, 27-year-old Argentine centre-back and Tottenham captain Cristian Romero has informed the club’s management that he wants to leave at the end of the season.
Reports state that Romero’s departure this summer is irreversible, even if Tottenham manage to avoid relegation and achieve success in the Champions League.

Earlier, the media reported that Tottenham’s bosses had decided to overhaul the squad before the new season, and it appears Romero will be the first major transfer out.
Romero joined Tottenham in 2022 from Atalanta for €52 million. This season, the Argentine has played 28 matches for the Spurs, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists.
Cristian Romero’s current contract with Tottenham runs until 2029, and his transfer value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €50 million.
