Participation in the Euros is not threatened. The nature of Lewandowski's injury is known
Yesterday, the injury of Poland's top scorer and main star Robert Lewandowski came as a real shock to the national team. The Barcelona forward left the field due to an injury in the first half of the friendly match against Turkey.
However, Poland has dodged a major bullet. Lewandowski's injury turned out to be minor, meaning his participation in Euro 2024 is not at risk.
"Robert Lewandowski has sustained a minor injury and it should not be a problem, while Karol Swiderski has dislocated his ankle. We will know more after further examination," said Poland's head coach Michal Probierz.
According to Sheya Lugassi, Lewandowski's recovery will only take a few days. He is expected to be ready for the first Euro 2024 match against the Netherlands on June 16.
In 150 matches for the Polish national team, Lewandowski has scored 82 goals, making him the top scorer in the country's history.
