Paris Saint-Germain's bold plan! PSG targets Real Madrid's defensive leader

Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring the contract situation of one of Real Madrid's key defenders.

Details: According to Diario Sport, the Parisian club are considering a move for 33-year-old Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rüdiger.

The German defender's current contract with the Madrid giants expires at the end of the current season. PSG are hoping to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding the player's future at the Santiago Bernabéu and strengthen their central defence by signing the experienced veteran as a free agent.

PSG greatly value Rüdiger's toughness, leadership qualities and vast European experience, which could allow him to become a mental reference point for his younger defensive teammates.

Real Madrid themselves are not yet rushing to open negotiations over a contract extension, giving the French giants room to enter into talks with the defender's representatives.

It is worth noting that Antonio Rüdiger has played for Real Madrid since the summer of 2022, winning the Champions League, La Liga and the UEFA Super Cup with the Spanish giants. According to the authoritative Transfermarkt portal, the 33-year-old defender's current market value stands at €6 million.
