Paredes Closing in on Boca Debut: Target Date Set

Leandro Paredes’ highly anticipated return to Boca is drawing closer, but fans may have to wait until August 10 to see him back in action. According to information gathered by Olé, while his arrival to the team is expected in the coming days, the midfielder is likely to make his debut in the fourth round of the Clausura against Racing in Avellaneda.

Boca will open the tournament against Argentinos Juniors on July 13, host Unión on July 18, and possibly face Atlético Tucumán in the Copa Argentina on July 23. They then visit Huracán on July 27. With no league games scheduled for the weekend of August 3, Paredes will have a two-week window to regain match fitness.

Some at the club hope he could feature earlier, perhaps against Unión at a packed Bombonera. But the more realistic timeline points to the clash with Racing.

The 31-year-old has already been spotted training in Ezeiza alongside Paulo Dybala and fitness coaches, preparing to return in top shape for what promises to be a memorable second chapter at Boca.
