The Senegalese international has been decisive three times in a row in the Spanish league.
Pape Gueye is already doing better than in his previous 17 La Liga appearances. He was decisive again on Sunday 8 March in his team's victory over Elche on matchday 27 of the championship. The Senegalese midfielder provided the assist that allowed Tajon Buchanan to open the scoring for Villarreal in the 31st minute.
The African champion has now distinguished himself three times in a row with Villarreal in La Liga. He has scored two goals and provided one assist. This performance surpasses that of his previous 17 La Liga matches, in which the Senegalese player scored only one goal and provided a single assist.
