Pape Gueye believes in Senegal’s dream at the 2026 World Cup

The Senegalese midfielder has clearly set out the ambitions of the Lions of Teranga.

In an interview with Brut, Pape Gueye spoke about the Senegal national team’s objectives at the World Cup, which is set to take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Senegal face a tough group.

The Lions will compete in Group I alongside France, Norway and Iraq. But despite this competition, Pape Gueye firmly believes in Senegal’s chances of having a great run.

With the national team, we’re going to try to finish the year on a high note because we’ve won the Africa Cup of Nations. So I think that by going to this World Cup with a great deal of humility but a lot of confidence, we’ll do everything we can to win it.
