The Cameroonian club’s delegation set off on Wednesday 9 September.

Panthere Sportive are on their way to Rwanda for the second leg of the first preliminary round of the 2026–2027 CAF Confederation Cup. The Cameroon Cup champions will be based in Kigali ahead of the match, which is due to kick off on Saturday 12 September.

It is on Rwandan soil that Panthere Sportive will make their final preparations before facing Rayon Sports. The two clubs will meet again on Saturday following their draw last weekend in Yaoundé. Panthere Sportive and Rayon Sports played out a 1–1 draw at the end of an intense match.

This return leg in Kigali is a high-stakes affair for both the Cameroonians and the Rwandans. The winner of this second leg will secure their place in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, Rayon Sports could capitalise on the home advantage when they play in front of their own fans on Saturday 12 September. Nevertheless, Panthere Sportive have what it takes to cause the Rwandan club problems on their home turf.
