Panthere FC declared winners of the Cameroon Champions Trophy
Colombe faces heavy sanctions following the verdict of Fecafoot’s Federal Certification and Disciplinary Commission.
A few weeks after the chaos during the Cameroon Champions Trophy match between Colombe, the Elite One champions, and Panthere FC, winners of the Cameroon Cup, the Federal Approval Commission has reached a decision.
Colombe, who walked off the pitch mid-match following a penalty awarded to Panthere, have been declared the losers. The victory has been awarded to Panthere Sportive with a score of 3-0. The reigning Cameroonian league champions have not only lost the match but have also faced severe sanctions.
A fine of 30 million CFA francs and an additional fine of 5 million have been imposed on Colombe. The club has also been excluded from the 2026 Cameroon Cup. Eleven players have been suspended for two matches, whilst Richard Towa has been suspended for six months and Alain Mathieu Edjiane Doko for one year.
