Camavinga admitted he was disappointed by Deschamps' decision:
"This is not the news I was hoping for, but that's football. Of course, it hurts, especially knowing how much it means to me to wear this shirt. I will support and cheer for the team from home at every stage.
I wish my brothers all the best at the World Cup — make the country proud and bring the trophy home. I will keep working, keep fighting, and I will come back stronger." Camavinga wrote.
This season, Camavinga has played 41 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. Early in the season, he suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for almost two months.
