Veteran coach Pablo Franco Martin, who is enjoying a stellar coaching career in Saudi Arabia, spoke about when he received an offer from Orlando Pirates to return and coach the team again.

The Spanish coach is currently coaching Al-Faisaly in the second division of Saudi football, having had a stint with AmaZulu FC in the 2023-2024 season and just two games into the current campaign.

The Spanish coach revealed that he got an offer to coach Orlando Pirates when he was still the coach of Simba SC in Tanzania.

Speaking about the offer he received from the Buccaneers when he was coach of Simba SC, he said: When I am involved in a project, I like to respect the club, the people I work with and the fans, so I don’t like to leave even when I receive a better offer. Pirates are such a big club, and they are right now in the place they deserve, winning trophies and being dominant on the continent, Since I arrived in SA, I have always said that the credit is for their players and technical staff, but also for their owner and board because they believed in a project and supported them in the bad days. That is why they are collecting trophies now.
